As another school year draws to a close, we’d like to take a moment to reflect and simply say thank you.
It has been a privilege to work alongside so many incredible children, dedicated school staff and families throughout the year. Every school we have visited has reminded us that education is about so much more than reading, writing and maths. It’s about helping children feel safe, valued, understood and confident enough to believe in themselves.
This year we’ve celebrated achievements big and small. We’ve watched children overcome worries, build friendships, develop resilience and discover strengths they didn’t know they had. We’ve seen acts of kindness, determination and courage every single day, and those moments never go unnoticed.
To all the teachers, teaching assistants, learning mentors and every member of school staff – thank you. Your patience, compassion and unwavering commitment to the children in your care is truly inspiring. The positive impact you have extends far beyond the classroom, and we hope you take time over the summer to rest, recharge and recognise just how valued you are.
To parents and carers, thank you for trusting us to be part of your children’s journey. Working together gives children the best opportunity to flourish, and your support, encouragement and love make all the difference.
And finally, to all the wonderful children we’ve had the pleasure of meeting this year – thank you for making us smile, laugh and feel proud every single day. Thank you for sharing your stories, your worries, your successes and your dreams. Never stop believing in yourselves, because every one of you has something special to offer the world.
As we head into the summer holidays, we hope you all take time to slow down and enjoy the simple things. Build dens, splash in puddles, visit the beach, explore the countryside, read stories, play games, make memories and spend precious time with the people you love. The best summers aren’t always the busiest—they’re the ones filled with laughter, connection and moments you’ll remember for years to come.
From both Sue and I, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey this year. We feel incredibly fortunate to work with such amazing schools and families, and we can’t wait to continue supporting you in the new academic year.
Have a wonderful, relaxing and safe summer holiday. We hope it’s filled with sunshine, ice creams, laughter, adventures and plenty of time to recharge. We’ll see you all in September—hopefully well rested… although we know some of you will already be thinking about classroom displays by the second week of August!
