This week we have had the absolute pleasure of delivering training sessions to a fabulous group of TAs and then a wonderful group of ECTs. We will be meeting both groups throughout the year to offer continuous training and support as they become established in their roles.
This week we really got to know each other more as we learnt about the varied previous work experience within each group. We discussed what they were looking forward to and what they felt was going to be a challenge for the year ahead. We started to look at behaviour as communication, as well as developing our understanding of the needs and factors that contribute to a child’s response, looking at how we can make a difference, promoting positive behaviour within the classroom and practical strategies to support this.
We have had a wonderful week meeting so many people and we hope that they all know that they really can make a difference to the children they are working with.
We are already looking forward to seeing them again after half term.
