Resource of the Month – March

All Dogs Have ADHD by Kathy Hoopman

We use this book with some of our children that are diagnosed with ADHD as a way of helping them to understand what it means.

This book takes an inspiring and affectionate look at Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). With images from the canine world, it explores a variety of traits that will be instantly recognisable to the children with ADHD.

The photographs in the book shows how dogs bring to life familiar ADHD characteristics such as being restless and excitable, getting easily distracted, and acting on impulse. It combines humour with understanding to reflect the difficulties and joys of raising a child with ADHD and celebrates what it means to be considered neurodivergent.

The children we work with love this book and we love it too.
