Our resource of the month for December is the ‘Find it’.
We love using this with the children that we support, the children have to shake the tube to help them to locate the specific items on a checklist, and if they can they have to try and find the hidden penny.
The ‘Find it’ helps to develop focus, patience, and fine motor skills as well as providing lots of fun and discussion as you keep looking for those hidden objects.
I have also used the ‘Find it’ with lots of children as a strategy to support them with regulating their emotions as it can provide distraction and also watching the beads in the tube move can be a calming technique for some children.
