Change is Coming

Going into schools we are hearing staff saying the same thing … the tiredness is overwhelming, but the end of term is coming so quickly and there is still so much to do.  Teachers and TAs are planning for their new class while still teaching their current class and ensuring the year ends on a positive note.  Saying goodbye to your class is difficult.

Children are getting ready to move on from the class they are in – they have a mixture of emotions.  Some will have different teachers, some will have different TAs, and some will have different children in their class; this is exciting, but it can also be unsettling.  Saying goodbye to your teacher and TA is difficult.

We have had our final sessions with the TAs and ECTs that we have been training and working with this year.  These sessions have been celebrations of how far they have come as individuals since we all met in the autumn term, but we are also feeling sad that we will not be together in those groups again.

We are supporting Y6s with their move to Y7 and they are experiencing many emotions – excitement and nervousness at the same time.  Saying goodbye to your primary school is difficult.

Nursery children are getting ready to start school in September – big school is a huge step, exciting but a big change.  Saying goodbye to your nursery school is difficult (and parents sending their children to school for the first time is exciting but can also be difficult)

In this period of change and endings, just remember:
