As we are gradually approaching the end of the summer term, there is a big focus on transitions within schools.

Children experience change every day. For some children, any transition can present unique challenges that require bespoke support and preparation to help them make the transition positive and as smooth as possible. Preparing children for transition, looking at the things that are going to be the same and the things that are going to be different is so important.
Understanding transitions and implementing effective strategies can make a significant difference in helping all children to feel secure and confident on their movement throughout school and starting school. Make sure the strategies you have in place are shared with the next class.

We support all children during transition, we support Nursery to Reception children and Year 6 children moving to high school and of course we support the children that are moving through the different years at their school. Spending time with the children and being able to listen to worries that they may have regarding a movement within school, or schools is a key element of our work.
As school staff we can all prepare children for a transition within school and at home it is important that this continues over the summer holidays.
Enjoy the last few weeks of the summer term, it really does feel like summer now with the glorious sun shining for us.
