As we are going round schools at this busy time of year, there are so many heightened emotions. Christmas in schools is magical, but also exhausting. Children and staff are tired, but there is always so much to do that no-one gets the chance to slow down.

Remember, it is important to look after yourselves – the quote above says it all – you cannot pour from an empty cup. In these last weeks of term, find time to do what makes you feel calm and relaxed. Help the children to stay calm and not get too over excited – they need quiet time at this time of year too.
There are so many jobs to be done, but do they really need to be done right now? If yes, then prioritise and do not be hard on yourselves if some things have to wait.
Keep your cup full so you are able to enjoy the end of term.
