This week we had the pleasure of meeting with the lovely and amazing ECTs that we have been supporting this academic year. We delivered a full day training session to them in October and this week they shared with us the things that they had taken from the training and how they had implemented some of our ideas into their classrooms.
We shared the successes that they have all achieved and it was lovely to celebrate these, we laughed at some of the stories!
One of the teachers had implemented a whole class strategy that we shared with them on the full day training, she had put her own slant on it and the impact has been ‘magical’ to see. Another teacher has used our ideas to put an emotional literacy area into her classroom and the children are simply loving it! It was great to hear how this is being used.
We shared experiences of how some of them are implementing ‘circle time’ and the different positive behaviour strategies that they have all put in place to support whole class and individual children.
As a group we then did a focused session looking at strategies that can be used for individual children and for the whole class. The time just flew by, and we could have stayed talking about everything forever.
We can’t wait to hear how things have gone following our session this week.
