This week has been another busy one but on Wednesday we had the privilege of spending time with some of our year 6 children that are off to high school in September. Seeing them in their new school on the Y6 Taster Day was so lovely; there was a real mix of emotions, but they were all mostly really excited and feeling positive about new beginnings.
We spent time with all of the children in their lessons, and we spoke to them all to make sure they were OK. We saw them in their classes and over break times. We are so looking forward to going back to see them all next week in their primary schools to check on how they felt the day went and to answer any questions that they might have.
Going to new places can be scary at times; this week we did some training and we had to navigate our way through a new building (and it was huge) and we met lots of lovely new people, so we feel like we understand how the year 6 children felt on Wednesday.
