Sue and I would like to say a big welcome back to all our schools, children, and parents. We have missed you all and are excited about a new term and academic year.
We hope you have all had a wonderful summer holiday and have managed to have some relaxation time.
It is so lovely to see all the new children starting their school journey in Reception and seeing the Year 6 children we have supported as they have transitioned to high school. We wish them all the luck in the world as they start a new chapter in their school life. It is also great to see the children that we were supporting at the end of last term as they too transition into their new class. We will continue to be there for them as well as all the children we have supported previously and any new children that we are fortunate to be meeting this term/year.
This year we have lots of exciting plans: we will be continuing to support all the Preston and South Ribble schools as well venturing further afield to Sefton and Rossendale. We have lots of training planned so keep your eyes peeled on our social media for upcoming events.
We will also be holding consultations and cluster meetings in each of our districts where we can discuss ‘issues’ and plan ‘next steps’. These are an effective way of working and a great way of sharing good practice as well as trying to de-escalate a situation.
We hope you have had a wonderful start to the autumn term in what appears to be summer weather!!!
